David Mellor ‘Deco’ fine bone china

For the first time in more than a decade, Corin Mellor has designed a new range of fine bone china, to add a touch of variety to the original classic white. Called ‘Deco’ – a nod to the art-deco of the 1930s that inspired it – the new pattern perfectly complements the existing range, which was launched to great acclaim in 2009.

The simple shapes and superb material are identical to the original, but the elegance is now set off by the addition of fine silver-grey radiating lines on the rimmed items. The delicate and restrained decoration means these items can be easily combined with the original pieces, to add further interest to the table. The highlight of the new range are the spectacular dinner plates and underplates, with their eye-catching dots in aquamarine or cobalt.
