Part-time Serving Assistants - David Mellor Design Museum Café

We are seeking reliable, flexible and well-presented members of staff for serving duties in our Design Museum Café.

The ideal candidates must have:

  • enthusiasm
  • excellent communication skills
  • a commitment to providing quality service

Previous front of house experience preferred but training will be given.

Weekday and weekend shifts available. No evenings.

Seasonal Order Picker & Packer/ Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and energetic person required to work in our busy mail order department over our busy Christmas and Sale period. You will also assist unpacking and shelving incoming deliveries in our warehouse. We are a small team and the ability to work well within a team is essential.

Duties include:

  • Picking and packing customer orders
  • Ensuring that order items are correct
  • Ensuring that orders are packed to a high standard in a timely manner
  • Keeping the working environment tidy and organised
  • Accepting incoming deliveries
  • Unpacking, labelling and shelving incoming deliveries
  • Accurate record keeping

Skills required

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Numerate and literate
  • Basic IT skills
  • The ability to work both in a team and individually
  • A good level of fitness required in order to effectively move stock around in a fast moving environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to accurately record details
  • Good organizational skills

Previous experience in a warehouse/ picking and packing role an advantage.

Seasonal contract until mid-January. Immediate start.

36 hours per week over 5 days (Tuesday ‚Äď Saturday).

Seasonal Sales Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and energetic person to join our small, friendly Country Shop team over our Christmas and Sale period. This role will support the stock replenishment and customer order fulfilment on the shop floor.

Duties include:

  • Picking customer orders
  • Ensuring that order items are correct
  • Daily stock replenishment of the shop
  • Price ticketing stock
  • Keeping the working environment tidy and organised
  • Accurate record keeping

Skills required:

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Numerate and literate
  • The ability to work both in a team and individually
  • A good level of fitness required in order to effectively fulfil orders in a fast moving environment
  • Good communication skills

Previous retail experience an advantage.

24 hours per week over 4 days to include weekends.
