Ostrich feathers are the essential material for feather dusters. Each individual feather consists of a structure of numerous small feathers which collect the dust rather than moving it into the air. They are especially light and leave no static charge so are ideal for dusting glass surfaces and fragile objects. The effectiveness of this sustainable, natural material removes the need for aerosols and chemicals. A brief shake outside releases any trapped dust.

Based on the season, the feathers of ostriches vary in size, thickness and colour. For this reason each duster is unique and colours will vary although the weight of feathers used is consistent.
