David Mellor Rosewood serrated paring/steak knife 10cm
Our top of the range knives, designed by Corin Mellor and newly introduced after 3 years’ development. The sinuously curving handles are made in Indian rosewood, the traditional material favoured by culinary experts. These are carefully hand finished and wonderful to use.
Knife blades exploit the latest techniques in steel casting to arrive at the beautifully curved bolster. Blades are precision ground and glazed to give a specially bright finish. Drawing on the David Mellor expertise in metalwork these are amongst the world’s finest knives.
The Paring/Steak Knife is a great all-rounder. Its short, narrow blade makes it ideal for slicing smaller fruits and vegetables and other precision tasks. The serrated blade is particularly suited to slicing through soft fruits and vegetables without compressing their flesh, or for tackling foods with tough skins, such as cucumbers and tomatoes.
The super-sharp blade also allows it to cut through cooked meat with ease. The serrated blade effortlessly saws through the meat fibres preventing compression and thus retaining the juices and flavour.
All knives are supplied in individual David Mellor boxes.
