Michael Taylor works in rural North Devon in his purpose built workshop, Lone Ash Pottery, just outside the village of Ashwater. He studied ceramics at Bath Academy of Art. His domestic stoneware is all hand thrown and decorated in particularly beautiful glazes in colours inspired by the West Country landscape around his studio.

Michael Taylor’s work has proved so popular that he has now worked with us to develop more comprehensive ranges of his unique handmade tableware.

Michael Taylor creates his ceramics at Lone Ash Pottery, approximately one mile north of Ashwater in rural North Devon. He gained a ceramics degree from Bath Academy of Art in 1984 when John Colbeck ran the ceramics department. Michael’s domestic ceramics are stoneware. Everything is thrown by hand by Michael and decorated in glazes that best suit the form and function of the piece.
