Supremely elegant fine porcelain from the Kaneko Kohyo pottery, founded in 1921 in Toki City, Japan. ‘Giyaman’ is a Japanese loanword meaning ‘glassware’ and refers to the lustrous deep blue glaze which gives a glowing radiance reminiscent to glass.
The rich Aizome glaze highlights the gently undulating shape of the traditional Japanese chrysanthemum design, the Imperial Emblem of Japan.

Kaneko Kohyo was founded in 1921 by Ito Kohyo and began on a small mountain near Toki City in Gifu Prefecture, an area renowned for its production of Japanese Mino-yaki pottery styles.
