Liam O'Neill round bowl 22.5cm

£75.00

Liam O’Neill is one of the leading Irish wood turners. His workshop is at Spiddal, Co. Galway. Alongside this marvellous collection of wooden bowls for everyday use O’Neill makes one-off sculptural pieces which are in many international collections.

Liam uses only timber from trees felled through old age or natural disaster. The quality of his bowls lies in their subtle detailing as well as the intrinsic beauty of the wood, usually beech or occasionally ash.

Because these are individual pieces, sizes, shapes and graining may vary from those shown and supplies may fluctuate. A fuller selection will be found at the David Mellor shops.

Wooden items used for serving or preparing food should be washed under running water. They should never be immersed in water or washed in a dishwasher, as soaking may cause the wood to warp or split. They should be dried immediately with a towel, not left to drain. To maintain the condition of wooden items, a small quantity of edible oil may be rubbed into the wood. Wooden items should be kept away from sources of heat and bright sunlight as these may cause the wood to warp.
