Liam O’Neill is one of the leading Irish woodturners. His workshop is at Spiddal, Co. Galway. Alongside this marvellous collection of wooden bowls for everyday use O’Neill makes one-off sculptural pieces which are in many international collections.
Liam uses only timber from trees felled through old age or natural disaster. The quality of his bowls lies in their subtle detailing as well as the intrinsic beauty of the wood, usually ash, elm, Irish yew, cherry or beech.
Because these are individual pieces, sizes, shapes and graining may vary from those shown and supplies may fluctuate. A fuller selection will be found at the David Mellor shops.
