City 58-piece cutlery canteen oak
One of David Mellor's most acclaimed ranges of cutlery. City uses advanced constructional techniques in stainless steel to achieve its highly original sculptural form.
Designed in 1998, City was expertly developed to give a perfect balance in the hand. Handles are weighted using a unique process of welding together 3 separate stainless steel components. New computerised machinery was developed in order to provide the differing heat levels required for the variations in form. Many fine polishing processes are then employed to give City its seamless, perfectionist finish.
City has been included in major exhibitions and, amongst other design prizes, was the winner of the V&A/Homes & Gardens Classic Design Award.
Satin finish. Knife blades are made from high carbon stainless steel for a superior cutting edge.
