David Mellor porcelain children's tableware 3-piece set

David Mellor porcelain children's tableware 3-piece set
David Mellor's phenomenally popular children's cutlery was introduced in 1975. Now at last we have designed children's tableware to go with it: a 3-piece set in the same vibrant colours made in robustly child-sized porcelain. Each piece has been carefully worked out to function well for children just beginning to eat independently. The plate has a deep rim to help the child control food. The multi-purpose bowl is nicely sized. The beaker is shaped to be easy for a child to hold. Even the packaging has been designed with children in mind. The inner boxes are colour-coded in red, blue and yellow to match the contents. The three smaller boxes are packed in a bright yellow outer box. Children will find their tableware fun to unpack. The three pieces are individually back stamped with a colour coded dot. Suitable for microwaves and dishwashers.Boxed set comprising:

The Brand

David Mellor Design operates on the simple principle that well designed tableware is a vital part of any interior. The company was set up by David Mellor, Royal Designer for Industry, in the 1950s. The first and now famous David Mellor shop opened in Sloane Square, London, in 1969 and soon became a focal point of Swinging Sixties Chelsea and remains one of Londonā€™s most original and individual shops. We run our own design office within the company and so the David Mellor collection is constantly evolving. Many of our products are designed by Corin Mellor, Creative Director, exclusively for the David Mellor shops and are produced by specially selected workshop producers and manufacturers. David Mellor now holds one of the most impressive collections of the finest British Crafts and sophisticated modern tableware and kitchenware, including the world famous David Mellor Cutlery, to be found on the international scene.
