Jerpoint Irish Craft Glass
Jerpoint glass is made at Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny employing the techniques and type of handtools that have been used in glassmaking for many centuries. Keith Leadbetter, who trained in Sweden at the famous Orrefors Glass School, established his own workshop in the Irish countryside in 1978. He works with a team of ten skilled glassblowers. Each glass is individually blown and shaped from red-hot molten glass and finished by hand.
